Percy's Music Club

Review

    Percy programmes have always been a great success within key stage 1 in our school and the new Percy music programmes have been received in the same way. Access to the programmes can be demonstrated on an interactive whiteboard giving children the opportunity to share ideas and gain confidence before working independently on their own computer. Areas of the National Curriculum are visited in a fun way and children gain specific knowledge. Children are made aware of their success as with Percy's rewards. They are able to listen to a variety of instruments playing well known tunes and can change the instrument or tune with a click. They can make up tunes using the keyboard or selecting a variety of pictures, which build up a simple musical sentence. Decisions can be made about duration, pitch, tempo and much more.
