Main
Menu
The main menu provides
access to the main reference section, the activities section and
the teacher options. From any part of the program you can
access the scrapbook and glossary.

Finding
Information
There are three ways of
searching for information in the Learner's Library - By a menu,
an index or search facility. All these buttons can be
hidden by the teacher if required.

Browse
Menu
The instrument menu
subdivides all the instruments included into families. The
user simply clicks on a family to find see which instruments are
in that family.

Browsing
Instruments
From within the
Percussion Instruments menu, the user can choose to view
in-depth information on any particular instrument simply by
clicking on it.

Information
Pages
The user has chosen to
look at the cabasa. Along with a colour photo, they can
scroll through several pages of information, all of which is
spoken. Clicking on the blue sound button lets the user
listen to a short clip of that instrument playing.

Index
The instrument index
provides a list of every instrument used throughout the
program. A picture of each is displayed by the side and
the user simply clicks an entry to find out about it.

Search
Facility
The search facility
allows the user to type in the name of an instrument of feature
to provide a list of matches. An additional feature (which
can be disabled by the teacher), stills attempts a search even
if the user makes a spelling mistake.

Glossary
Available form most
parts of the program, the glossary provides a spoken list of
every difficult word used.
|

Activities
Menu
The instrument
activities menu provides easy access to the three
activities. This whole section can of course be disabled
by the teacher if required.

Counting
instruments
The user is shown a selection of instruments
and is invited to count how many are on-screen.
|

Odd one
out
The user
is challenged to spot the instrument that is the odd one out.
|

Find
the instrument
Can the user find
a given instrument? The easier level of this
game also shows a picture prompt.
|
|
|

Scrapbook
The scrapbook makes it
easy for the user to record their findings or produce a page on
a given topic. Text and graphics can be inserted on to the
page, which can then be printed or saved for later use.

Teacher
Settings
The teacher options
page can be password protected and allows control over sound,
volume, which buttons/sections of the program are available,
printing, start level, word highlighting and game levels.
